What are homograph domain names?

According to the .gr domain registry, homograph domains are defined as “domain names that visually match the assigned domain name in lowercase or uppercase, accented or non-accented form, e.g. ΜΑΤΙΝΑ.gr (with Greek characters) and MATINA.gr (with Latin characters), or ΜΑΤΙΝΑ.ελ (with Greek characters) and MATINA.ελ (with Latin characters).”

By registering a .gr or .ελ domain name using Latin characters, you reserve a set of homograph domain names with Greek characters (e.g. accented and non-accented forms, final sigma, standard sigma, etc.). You can activate them by contacting Papaki Support. The activation of these homographs is chargeable.
