Smtp authentication Prestashop.

In case you use a contact form in Prestashop, to avoid sending spam, for security reasons it is good to activate outgoing mail authentication (SMTP authentication). You can do this by following the steps below:

 

1. Login to your Prestashop Administrator environment.

 

 
2. From the vertical left column, select Advanced Parameters and E-mail. In the EMAIL category, select Set my own SMTP parameters (for advanced users only)

 

 

3. Please state the following:

1. Your domain

2. The smtp server (usually mail.todomainsas)

3. Your email username (the one you will use to send emails) eg info@yourdomain.com where yourdomain.com is your domain.

4. Your email password.

5. SSL or TLS

6. 465

Finally, save your changes by selecting Save.
