If you use secure ports (IMAP: 993, POP: 995, SMTP: 465), you can set Authentication to either Password or MD5 Challenge-Response

Note 2:
If you cannot use secure ports, then set:

  • IMAP: Port 143
  • POP: Port 110
  • SMTP: Port 25 or 587
  • Use TLS/SSL: Disabled
  • Authentication: Must be MD5 Challenge-Response

This ensures your password is sent encrypted.

Additional Information

  • If you recently changed your nameservers, it may take 4–48 hours for email services to be fully active.
  • If you cannot access webmail or Plesk, send us your public IP (find it at whatismyipaddress.com) so we can check for a possible firewall block.
  • A simple way to test if your email service works is by logging into webmail. If webmail works but Mail does not, the problem is likely in the Mail client settings.

Make sure you entered the correct password, used your full email address (e.g. info@yourdomain.tld) as Username, and checked that the Incoming/Outgoing servers are correct.

How do I know which Incoming/Outgoing Mail Server to use?
It depends on your hosting environment:

  • Old environment (Plesk):
The hostname appears in the URL bar of your Plesk panel.
    Do not include port :8443.

Should I choose IMAP or POP?
