How do I manage my subscription?

Managing your subscription at Papaki is simple and gives you full control over how your services (domain names, hosting, emails, etc.) are renewed — either manually or automatically.

What is automatic renewal?

Automatic renewal ensures uninterrupted service by renewing your subscriptions a few days before the expiration date. This way, you avoid losing access or content due to an expired service. The renewal amount is automatically charged to your preferred payment method.

How can I view and manage my subscription settings?

The process varies depending on the Control Panel hosting your services. Below, you’ll find detailed instructions for both the old and the new Papaki Control Panel.

Papaki Control Panel

Check your panel here.

  1. Log in to your Papaki account.
Forgot your password? See here how to recover it.
  1. From the right-hand menu, select Account, Invoices and Payments
  1. Under Your Payments, click on Automatic Renewals

Here, you'll see:

  • The renewal method (manual/automatic/miscellaneous) for each product or service.
  • The expiration date
  • The payment method used for automatic renewals.

Types of renewals

Renewal Method Description
Manual You must renew the service yourself before the expiration date. Otherwise, it will be deactivated.
Automatic The system renews the service automatically using the saved payment method.
Miscellaneous Some components of the service are set to manual renewal, others to automatic.

Want to change the renewal method? Follow the detailed instructions here

How automatic renewal works

Papaki's system attempts to renew your service up to three times before expiration:

  • 1st attempt: 12 days before expiration
  • 2nd attempt: 11 days before expiration
  • 3rd attempt: 10 days before expiration

If all attempts fail:

  • 9 days before expiration, you will receive a notification advising manual renewal.
  • Additional reminders are sent on days -7, -4, -2, 0, and +3 relative to the expiration date.

These notifications are system-generated and cannot be disabled

Common reasons for failed auto-renewals

  • Insufficient credits or funds on your card / PayPal
  • Expired or inactive payment method
  • Network error during payment attempt

Available payment methods for auto-renewals

  • Credit / Debit Card
  • PayPal
  • Credits

If you use a credit/debit card, credits or PayPal to complete a purchase (new or manual renewal), automatic renewal is enabled for future cycles by default.

Want to disable automatic renewal?

You can find instructions on how to disable auto-renewal here

At Papaki, we have enabled the automatic renewal of your subscription so that the operation of your services remains uninterrupted. You can easily edit the details of a subscription through your account by following the steps below.

  1. Log in to your Papaki account.
Forgot your password? See here how to recover it. If it's your first login attempt to the new Papaki panel, please read more here.
  1. Click the red button Previous client area » on the right side of the control panel to access the old Papaki panel.
  1. Click Manage Subscriptions from the left bar menu.

  1. To enable or disable the subscription, locate the service you want to edit and press the "ON" or "OFF" button to change the status of the subscription. In the image below the subscription is inactive ("OFF") and you can click it to activate it. An active subscription displays the green "ON".

  1. To change the duration of a subscription, for example from 2 years to 4 for a .GR domain or from 1 to 2 years for other domains, you must first deactivate it. Then, at the bottom of the subscription, a message will appear urging you to renew the service  manually.

Click on the here link and you will be taken to the manual renewal window. Change the subscription duration from the Duration column and complete your manual renewal. The renewal will be completed and in the future your subscription will be renewed with the new duration automatically as before.

  1. You can also change your payment method (other card or credits) by clicking  Change payment Method, your billing details by clicking Change Billing Details or view your payment history again by clicking Billing History.

Attention! In case you want to activate a subscription, but you have not chosen a payment method and / or billing details for the specific service, you will need to enter these details first.
