What’s included with every domain at Papaki?

For every domain name you manage through your Papaki account — whether it was originally registered with Papaki or transferred from another registrar — you get the following services completely free of charge: 

• Free DNS service 
• Free hosting plan 
• Free email account 

Free DNS Service 

When registering or transferring your domain, you’ll be asked to set the nameservers you wish to use. 
If you prefer, you can use Papaki’s nameservers: 

dns1.papaki.gr   
dns2.papaki.gr 
 

This way, your domain’s active DNS zone will be hosted at Papaki, allowing you to manage your DNS records easily.

Free Hosting Plan 

With every domain you manage in your Papaki account, you can activate one free hosting plan. 

This plan includes: 

• 1 GB of storage space 
• Free SSL certificate 
• 1 MySQL database 

You can use this hosting plan to install your CMS (e.g., WordPress, Joomla) or host a static website (HTML5).

Free Email Account 

Papaki provides you with one free email account of up to 1 GB, so you can cover your basic email communication needs.

Important Things to Know 

• Using an external DNS service: If you use an external DNS provider (e.g., Cloudflare), you’ll need to manually configure the necessary DNS records in your active DNS zone to ensure your website and email function correctly. 

• Domain transfer within Papaki: If you transfer your domain to another Papaki account, the free services (DNS, hosting, email) will also be transferred. Make sure you take a backup of your website or email account and remove any sensitive data beforehand. 

• Domain transfer to another registrar: If you move your domain to another registrar, the free services will be deleted and cannot be restored. Always take a backup of your site or email account before initiating a transfer. 

• DNS limitations: Papaki’s nameservers (dns1.papaki.gr & dns2.papaki.gr) work only for domains registered at Papaki. 

• Upgrading services: If the free services do not meet your needs:
  • You can upgrade to a larger hosting plan with more resources. 
  • You can purchase a professional email hosting plan and link your existing email account to it.
